Jaxson's Puzzles

So we had been really impressed that Isabella was so good at puzzles, well Jaxson has picked up the ability early (I think) too. The other day he put together his CARS puzzle and POOH and TIGGER puzzle all himself. Here he is posing so proud next to them.

Valentine's Day

So Isabella and I set out this year to do homemade Valentine's and this is what we made. "BEE" Mine. I thought it was a cute idea I found on the internet and not that hard to do, pretty kid friendly, except the hot glue gun part for the eyes. She did get lots of practice practicing her letters !!!

Jaxson Cleaning off the Fence

Isabella Sledding....

Our outside winter adventure..... Well not really, just out to the yard, but Isabella thought the little hill on the side of the house was pretty cool with the new tube she got for Christmas. Jaxson on the other hand doesn't like anything about winter, doesn't like the cold, doesn't like the snow. While Isabella was sledding he was cleaning the snow off the fence. Maybe in hopes that if he brushed it off, it would be gone and spring would be here, oh I wish.....

Gingerbread Houses and Sugar Cookies.....

So this is our sad excuse for a gingerbread house, the hard part was done, the pieces came baked and cut, all we had to do was mix the icing right. Well we mixed the icing, assembled the house and then I thought I would add a bit more water to thin it out a little to spread easier on the roof, well............... It seemed I thinned it too much and Isabella informed me "the roof is sliding off!". Most stayed on, but some did slide off, but I said it was icicles. Then we were onto making sugar cookies for Santa. These actually came out well and I was rather impressed with the outcome with the gluten free mix. We rolled and cut and baked. Then we frosted and sprinkled. Santa loved them and left only crumbs.

Isabella's School Christmas Party

So Santa made a surprise visit to Isabella's Christmas party/concert and she didn't freak out !!
