My Garden

This is my garden this year... Last year it was pretty much destroyed because of our neighborhood friend the groundhog. So this year was going to be different or so we thought. We put up a fence buried chicken wire and thought it was tight as a drum. Well........... It's back, the groundhog....... All season long, no groundhog to be seen and just as everything is getting ready to really grow with sun finally, the groundhog decided to make an apparence also. So I figured I would take some pictures of my plants as evidence that I did have a good garden this year. So game on groundhog, it's you and me !!!

Watermelon

Our new ritual on Saturdays is to have a picnic outside on the lawn. Hotdogs and all the fixin's and watermelon. Jaxson loves watermelon, or as he calls the rind "apple". We try to explain that we don't eat this "apple", just the red part.

Washing the Car

So here it is, the car was dirty and the kids wanted to play with water. So we washed the car. They got their sponges and went to it. I had to supply most of the elbow grease, but they had a good time with the suds and the hose to wash all the bubbles away.

Isabella's Gymnastics

Here is a little clip of Isabella at gymnastics today, I think she has some raw talent. :) Brings back memories of when I was able to tumble and jump and hop when I was young and limber !

Fourth of July 2009

Well........ Let see what did our 4th of July include..... We tried to watch a parade, but we got there to late, the parade was really really short, then we had a picnic in the yard, went swimming in the pool again ( not for as long this time, it was breezy) took late naps and went to the fireworks. This all made for a long, fun day. I must say by 10:30 when the kids were finally in bed they fell asleep before their heads hit the pillows !!
